Tackling the Nature Crisis at Holyrood Climate Emergency Summit

We were delighted this week to attend Holyrood Events Climate Emergency Summit in Glasgow. Across two-days the Summit saw a number of experts from across the Renewables industry, political spectrum, environmental bodies and interested stakeholders take part in a series of discussions and panel sessions.

Berwick Bank Project Director, Alex Meredith was part of the panel on ‘Scotland’s Global Climate-Nature Leadership’ alongside NatureScot Chief Executive, Francesca Osowska and Lord Offord, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Scotland. The discussion covered a range of topics, particularly addressing how developments at scale, like Berwick Bank, have a crucial role to play in helping address both the Climate and Nature emergency that we are facing.

As part of Berwick Banks consent submission, we will be proposing a range of measures to help address these topics, you can read more about our proposals here

Also at the summit our Stakeholder Engagement Manager was on hand at our exhibition stand to help provide further information on our proposals for Berwick Bank Wind Farm. We would like to thank all the delegates that attended the conference and took the time to speak with our team on a number of important issues.
