Towards Renewables at Fringe By The Sea 2022
SSE Renewables discuss developing responsibly at Fringe By The Sea 2022
Sarah Edwards, Consents Team Manager and Gary Donlin, Stakeholder Engagement Manager for Berwick Bank Wind Farm were delighted to attend East Lothian festival, Fringe By The Sea 2022 and take part in a series of events.
‘Towards Renewables’ involved an informative discussion on how Offshore Wind must be harnessed in the correct manner to address both the Climate and Nature emergencies we all face. We would like to extend a particular thanks to Catherine Kelham, RSPB Scotland, Stuart Housden, Scottish Seabird Centre and Paul McLennan, MSP for East Lothian for taking part in the panel discussion.
Questions from the audience ranged from climate change, protecting Scottish Seabirds, cost of living crisis and local skills and supply chain content.
Earlier in the day the team also took part in a ‘World of Wind’ session, engaging with local children to hear their views on climate change and the steps we should be taking to address the problem.
In addition we would like to thank all members of the public for turning out in fantastic numbers to help inform the discussion, for more information on this event or Berwick Bank Wind Farm in general, please contact berwickbank@sse.com
